Chiropractic is based on the premise that with a healthy and normally functioning spine your body can heal itself better and faster. Your spine is designed to support your weight and protect your spinal cord. The spine is the channel between your brain and the nerves that affect all parts of your body. The vertebrae in your spine can become misaligned which can irritate your nerves, strains of muscle tissue and spraining of ligaments causing a variety of symptoms which can include headaches, neck and/or back pain and pain, numbness and/or tingling in arms and legs. Chiropractic Physicians are specially trained to diagnose and treat spinal misalignment (subluxation). 
Rockwood Chiropractic Clinic was established by Dr. Cowan in 1981. All permanent staff members are Certified Chiropractic Assistants with some having over 20 years experience. Our office has grown steadily over the years because of our patients’ satisfaction and telling others of their experience. Our physicians and staff are dedicated professionals and we do our absolute best to provide our patients’ with the best possible health care. This often includes referrals to other types of physicians to ensure the best possible care is received for the condition.
